Guest Ragtop
Trying to get the instrument panel out of my 40 Pontiac for refinishing. Took every screw out I could find and it still will not budge. Is the upper lip of the instrument panel under the gasket for the windshield? Or is it just glued in from all the windshield sealent they used? Hate to force it and break the windshield. Body manual is useless on this subject. Just to clarify, this is the whole dashboard, not just the instrument cluster. Guest Ragtop
If anyone happens to be interested in the answer at a later date. I found another Pontiac shop manual and yes. the windshield has to be removed before the dashboard can be taken out.
Guest dokks6t9
My 40 Olds 60 series needs a need instrument cluster, which I have.. I wonder if the same thing applies here?? My speedometer needle broke, and I was given a complete cluster when I bought the car.
