Some progress on the trunk

Where did you get the trunk lid cover?  That looks pretty slick...

Heatwave in December!  It hit a whopping 50° today.  Had to take her out for a spin around a bit.

I just picked up this 1966-dated Kodachrome slide of a 1964 Riviera parked in a carport with the proud owners flanking it.

Could the color be Desert Beige?

I had to repaint my motor after changing the water pump. The motor was green so I figured it was time to go back to silver. If I do this again I think it would be easier to pull the motor

That's the coolest '70 Riv I've ever seen.

With smaller wheels and tires, it would almost looks like a GM Styling drawing—or the long lost Silver Arrow II.

Yes, very cool. My favorite ‘70. Someone should manufacture that grill.

It was over 70° today!  (for reference its usually in the 30s this time of year)

Couldn't pass that up, so unwrapped the Riv and let the girlfriend take some beauty shots.  She's a way better photographer than I am.

Hazdaz, are you running the halos with your parking lights are on a separate switch?  I found some good LEDs and put them in our parking lamps, and will do halos with a whole new wiring harness soon.  I think I want them on the parking light switch, but not sure.

Totally separate switch right now.

Come spring time I want to wire it in with a relay so they turn off when the ignition is off so I don't forget them on which is something I've done too many times.

My mind immediately went back to 1970 on "The Strip" outside the Navy base gate in Charleston, SC. Some things just stick with you.

The things that impress the most stay with you. The zRiviera 63-65, 64 Impala SS, and stock 1950 Chevy DeLuxe with 6 cylinders are favorites.

Come on Riviera guys. This car is actually a 1970 Mercury Marauder.

There have been times I though about finding one of those Merc's and buying it. There is a lot of similarity in the restyle of the Riviera. Yep, I'd buy the Merc.

Ditto. On my bucket list. ‘70 is the best year.

Try finding one with a floor console in good shape. Seems more rare than the Rivs.

And a ‘64 Impala was my first car. Red on black.

Not mine but I'm curious as to how many of you have seen a 1971/1972 boat tail with this vinyl roof extension.  It was sold by Acme Auto Headling, San Diego.  It came as a kit with the pre-cut matching vinyl and all of the hardware for mounting.

I'm a 1965 Buick Riviera owner since 24 hours ago.  Expect lots of newbie questions...
