I've been away from my computer for some time, so that's why I just now found this great post.

Waauw guys, what great cars. Ideal to make some kind of screensaver.

Here some pictures of mine.

Digging on the color bro. is that ghost flames or is it just the lighting?

Here's my 64.

When I bought it.

When I last drove it.

This is the rendering I had Steve Stanford do of the car. I'm back on it ,and hopefully will have it on the road soon.

A beauty, Stanford is the best.

Are those '50 Pontiac taillights on the drawing?

Very cool. A touch of "Film Noir".

had to look that one up "film noir" a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and sexual motivations

Yep Dave, I believe that fits.

thanks for posting Silverarrow.

These pics captured the first moments I saw my Riviera when it arrived on the truck from Las Vegas. Man was I excited! Also

pictured is the very unusual original documentation the car came with including the original window sticker. The last picture which I first

saw on the internet was the one that sold me the car sight unseen......the amazing perfect original package tray with no water damage. My

dad's 65 that he bought new had a water damaged package tray by 1970. When I saw that pic I knew the car had never been used or sat out in the rain.

Here is something you don't see very often.......a perfect 50 year old headliner! I don't believe the mint green material is available anymore.

Beautiful car! I had the same reaction when my car arrived from Texas last year:

Yes...Rochester Hills area.

Very cool! I live in Warren not far away. Are you going to the Dream Cruise by chance? I'll be out there this Friday to avoid the majority of the crowds the day of the cruise. Still A LOT of classics buzzing down the strip!

Bringing this back to the top, from page 14  and making it a sticky. When I need a Rivi fix, I need a Rivi fix, no time to have to go searching! Also I see some new comers here that hopefully will post pictures of their Riv's. But not only newcomer's let's see some updates....

Mr. Earl....that color is called Verde Green and is one of two greens offered in 65, the other

being Seafoam Green like my car. (unrestored survivor with one repaint 40 years ago .........57,000 original miles ......totally original interior

Another show stopper! I've seen few in better condition than yours Sir!

Thanks, Darren. The previous owner of 45 years deserves all the credit. I have talked to him on the phone and personally thanked him for taking such good care of this car. He worked for the Buick

dealer where it was purchased new and knowing that these cars had rust issues, He refused to ever drive it in the winter months period as he lived in northern Illinois, and even went so far as to never

drive it in the rain or even run a hose on it to clean it. It takes extreme far sightedness and dedication to preserve a car like that, while meanwhile avoiding any dents or collision damage for 45 years. My hat is off to him, and I will continue to care for it in the same manner.

I haven’t posted/updated mine in a couple of years, page eight of this topic, since I have added one more since then thought I would post them again. I’ll start with a group shot of the ones I have that are presentable.

post-47994-143142989094_thumb.jpg

The ’65 is one of the 454 LX NON GS Rivs, I ended up buying it thanks to RivNut posting it on this forum! It needs work, hopefully I’ll get to it sooner than later? The ’72 is a true GS that is one of the 88 that was an SCO Riv, possibly the only Buick in 1972 painted a “Baby Blue” color?!? The ’93 is a low mileage, 64K, example in very good condition. The ’95 has 62K miles on it, I have been asked why I bother keeping the miles low, I guess it’s just because I like it. Silver Arrow #152 is at 74K miles now, I would rate it at 9.2-9.4 on a 10 point scale. Silver Arrow #10 was bought to keep it from ending up in a junk yard. It had 180K on it when I bought it a few years ago and is at 272K now. It is showing its age and miles but still runs “mostly” as it should.

The last pictures are of my most recent stupidity! Not in my possession yet but I have put a deposit on this Flame Red ’65 GS, it is kind of rare with the Custom White Interior. The price was right so I couldn’t pass it up, now I just have to get another garage built AND find a way to get it from WI to NC!
