rodneybeauchamp
Gabriel, no doubt your reply was in you most outrageous French accent. Ah monsieur Arnaud, Those magnifique vines must be Champagne or perhaps a Beaujolais or Burgandy! Hard to see because the Buick is in the way! What a great scene for a lovely car ! A ‘ 67 Buick Riviera or any Riviera for that matter would certainly be a rare treat over in France ( except on the French Riviera perhaps) Enjoy And welcome Artaud to this forum! Rodney ????? NC1968Riviera
We attended the Tarheel Tigers Pontiac Club Car Show in Cary, NC this weekend. We were able to park in the 50th Anniversary section of the show with some pretty awesome 68 Pontiacs. We received a 3rd place trophy in the 1960-1969 Buick-Olds-Cadillac classification. We tied with a 1968 Buick Electra 225 convertible. We were also awarded a trophy for Best 50 year old Buick-Olds-Cadillac and we were presented with this 50th Anniversary Buick-Olds-Cadillac display banner. MikeJS
Good day... Cool looking concept. I could be wrong, but I believe it was created here... http://www.auto-visuals.com/index.asp Later, Mike Edit... Found what appears to be the original image, the one in post 965 appears to be copied and manipulated from the original by auto-visual.. If so, they both did a pretty cool job... Dynaflash8
Here is a picture of our 1971 Buick Riviera. It is an AACA Senior car, twice nominated for an AACA National Award. I'm also wondering if we decided to sell it for $22,500 if anybody out there would be interested?

Thought “Snowflake” was a little lonely so matched her up with “Black Beauty”. Tis a 1938 Series 40 all enclosed coupe, 248cu in straight eight, with Australian designed and built body. Made only 43 in this body style in ‘38, so a bit unique. Hoping they both get along well given their pedigree!
Dynaflash8
Hey "Cousin" that '38 Buick is something to write home about. It is beautiful and should make all of the '38 Buick lovers salivate! Hi cousin, yes, interesting name BEAUCHAMP , means “beautiful fields” from its French origins. We pronounce it Beech ham over here and there are a few of us around. And yes, have had to spell it all of my life. Thank you for the comments on my ‘38 Special, I reckon it’s special too! By the look of your signature and picture, a lover of ‘39’s and other Buicks. cheers Rodney

But I'm also interested in '41 and I'm restoring a Roadmaster sedan right now. My mother liked Bo-shawum, but my Dad was born Beacham. When I retired and turned 55 I moved near historical relatives and changed my pronunciation to Beacham as well.

NC1968Riviera
We took the Aqua Zephyr out for another photo shoot today. This time we were at the Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum. They have a concrete ramp and elevated platform behind the building on which we parked the car and shot some pictures. (this was an old railway station so this was probably a rail car loading platform). I consider this picture to be the best full frontal shot I have ever taken of the ol' girl! The Transportation Museum in the background. Some of downtown Fayetteville, NC in the background. 20thAnn.Rivwith Wires
Here is my 1983 buick riviera 20th anniversary car (project). Interior floors are mostly solid with a few minor areas to repair, literally half the trunk floor is rotted out and just air and the panel the tailights go into is half rotted out. Needs everything. But its coming. What buick used as a "frame" is solid and the rockers are solid. Need to locate hubcaps, trim rings, and 2 wire wheels since 2 of the wheels are bad. Also need a good passenger side door and other stuff, its a slow process.
RivNut
In case you hadn't found this yet, here's a quick synopsis of the '83 XX Riviera https://rivowners.org/features/evolution/evpt83.html Looks like you've got a long road ahead of you to bring this back to original, if that's you're intent. Hope it isn't too bumpy. The link I posted above is from the Riviera Owners website. If you're not a member, now would be a good time to join. Rivdrivn
1 hour ago, EmTee said: x2! Thanks. I never was a big fan of wheel covers, preferring instead the road wheels. But these have really grown on me. They are rare (one year only, and only on the Riviera Gran Sport, and only if the road wheel option was not selected) and I do like to be different. The spinners are very cool but my favorite thing about them is the virtual image (reflection) of what looks like a preview of the upcoming 2nd gen center cap. 1

Chimera
The Buick Chrome wheels IMO are some of the best looking wheels around, however, these turbines and rare GS wheels covers remind me of something like the bladed chariots from Ben Her.
