I'm new to this but I inherited a 1927 Chevy Capital AA we a having trouble getting enough vacuum to bring the fuel from the tank to the fuel canister if I fill the canister it will run till all the fuel runs out but doesn't seem to have enough vacuum to bring fuel from the tank. I'm not sure if it is the original canister or a later one but this one has an overflow on the top but the other ones that came with the car don't have the overflow on them. If any one has any info it would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Check the vacuum line to the windshield wiper. A test is to block the windshield wiper and test it again. My 31 has a short piece of rubber hose under the dash and mine was cracked. Also, you can not use a modern sealed gas cap, it must breath.
