Steve Hagy
I have quite a few of these photos of Howe Fire Apparatus on various chassis. Unfortunately only a couple of the pictures were identified. I have found information for others on Fire Company web sites. This photo is one of the best. The fire engine is on a Reo chassis and was going to Yardley, Pennsylvania. I really like the "Philadelphia Office - Howe Fire Apparatus" sign. Checkout the Mobiloils sign and the Protex Signal (with a red Stop lens) over the doorway.Theories, guesses, and even facts are welcome.Steve
Fedhob
Would you have any photos of a REO 1932-34 made for Federalsburg , MD? Also I am new to antique fire trucks, but it looks like REO made the truck and Howe made the fire bodies? Thanks
BryanC17reo
From the crown stamped fenders and later non browed style radiator shell ,I would say it's a 1922 to 1924 REO Speedwagon model f .
