Mssr. Bwatoe
My first Lincoln was a 41 Custom sedan, no division glass, has a hydraulic power seat instead..Hydraulic windows Zephyr blue with tan pinstripe interior. Dearborn indicated that it was a Ford Family car Mr. Imoberstag...and the car was used at the Rotnda and for publicity pics!!! BUT, too many northwest ohio winters rendered it beyond my skills..chk pics
vetsalsman
thanks for keeping the form going with your post. As your 41 sat in 1974 it would be considered a very restorable project today. My first lincoln was a black 1940 convertible, tan interior that I totally assembled. Oh yeah it was 1/25 scale. Phil Knapp
My first Lincoln was a 1948 Continental Coupe, purchased in Riverside, California in 1965. It had a severely damaged right front fender and a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado drive train, crudely installed. It was a VERY fast car, but dangerous! I sold that one within the first year. The second Lincoln was a 1947 Coupe. It had been imported from Puerto Rico by an airman at Vandenberg Air Force Base and relieved of it's custom interior before I bought it. I sold the V-12 engine and transmission to Jack Nethercutt (Merle Norman Cosmetics & San Sylmar, CAMuseum) and converted the drive line to 1957 Lincoln components. We drove that car from California to both LCOC national meets in 1970: Mt.Snow, VT and Yosemite, CA. We still own that car. See my Webshots Photo Album at:http://community.webshots.com/album/33590926dAmhsjOur third Lincoln was a 1947 Convertible with a 1953 Mercury V8 and a Carson top. It was a pretty shabby car and eventually ended up being meticulously restored into a high point show car by Den Fenske.
