bhclark
Can anyone tell me the age of my engine from the number?6208950I'm trying to figure out if it is the original. Also, the head has Made in USA forged into it. Is that original?Any numbers on the head, axle or body to look for to determine originality or date of manufacture? The car has been assigned a "new" Vin by the DOT. Layden B
July 1922This would be later in the 1922 model year but not a 1923 style yet.Having "Made in USA" cast into the cylinder head and engine block ( left side down near the pan below the FORD script) was the norm for 1913 thru 1925. Determining the age of the body and other features by their style and features would indicate whether the block was year appropriate.Pictures are always most helpful.
