Roadster90
I have not seen any exhaust or cat convertor posts for a while and had not had to purchase a cat convertor for Reatta - until now . Can I please have some purchase/vendor suggestions? Also, is it likely or unlikely that I will be able to use my present SS exhaust pipes? Are replacement cat convertors on a reatta welded in? Thanks for any help....Nic Edited April 21, 2010 by nic walker left out "cat" (see edit history)

Jim
The original converters are welded/heat crimped to the SS pipes. Quite a few of my parts cars have had the cat replaced before I got the car and the muffler shop would just cut out the old cat and weld in an aftermarket replacement. Roadster90
Thanks Jim ...... I imagine this is a muffler shop purchase only then??Is there any quality issues with Cats - as in a particular brand that I should look or ask for please? harry yarnell
I've just used generic cats from Advanced, and used muffler clamps to install. Difficult to weld all the way around the pipe with it in the car.
