harry yarnell
How come I loose my username and password from time to time? This has happened maybe four times in the past. It's a PIA to look up my password (everyone wants a different logon), buy why does it dissappear?
Guest Bobby Valines
Mine has been fine for two years. Or are you talking about the auto. log on?
Vincent Vega
It might be related to your computer not the website. Do you delete your "cookies" from time to time? The cookie has information about you that a website uses. When you connect, the website checks for a cookie. If it does not find one you get the generic version until you sign in. It then saves that information in the cookie for next time.
Labrat
If your using Mozilla Firefox as your browser as I am you will need to reset it. It lost all my passwords in the latest upgrade. Yes it is a PIA and poor programming. Still better than any other browser though.
Ronnie
Something other than Firefox must have been at fault. I have used Firefoxt for years and never lost a password when upgrading.
DAVES89
I just recieved an "update" from AOL that caused me to reenter my password for this site. Maybe that happened to you...
Ronnie
I think it is this website that is causing it. I just had to enter my password again. I haven't changed settings or anything on my computer.
Bushwack
I was also just asked for name/password. First time in a year. I think the web site's server had re-set.
Guest ReattaRobert
Ditto here as of 1 minute ago! And yes, Harry, I agree that it is a PIA!
Jim
I posted yesterday and today I had to relog in. I have Firefox.
Rawja
The site must've reset. I needed to re-enter my info as well.
padgett
If I use multiple computers, each one asks. If I stay on one then it persists if the check box is checked.
Guest Richard D
I can not get the it to remember my password and when I try to re-register it says I did not check the box that I agree to follow the rules. Peter is trying to help but no luck yet.
KDirk
According to a thread I found elsewhere on the site, Peter indicated there was a server software upgrade/fix (security related) done within the last couple of days. This has resulted in most users having to log in again, even if the "remember me" checkbox is set on. Further, it has apparently corrupted the logon ID cookie maintained by most browsers, causing it not to work even if you re-check the remember me box. Most users still having an issue will probably need to edit their cookies and erase any related to the Antique Automobile Club of America address, so that a new cookie can be written into the file for your browser. Do NOT erase all cookies from your browser menu, or you will have issues with other sites that you may have set to auto-login and remember your ID and password. Bushwack
Your cookie may be corrupt (as mine was). I was able to log in at the office but my home computer gave me problems. I deleted the cookie, re-entered user name/password and all is good.
