Possible Peerless Sighting

A reputable antique car dealer said this about a car that is supposed to exist:

"In the basement of the Indy Museum, there is an early Peerless (pre-1910) that is drilled out everywhere (frame, axles, dumbirons, shift levers, etc., etc.). I suppose on some very light weight vehicles that are strictly used for racing..."

Has anyone seen this Peerless? I haven't listed it on the Known Peerless Automobiles In Existence list, since I've never had anyone confirm it. Also...what's a Peerless doing in the Indianapolis 500 museum? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone ever raced a Peerless at Indianapolis.
