CBoz
Are they pin holes from rust or maybe drain holes?
Mssr. Bwatoe
oh come on........this is Ohio, in the heart of the rust belt...they are exposed to the outside, moisture should not enter them, to rust themno drains just rust....( my car came from Tarheel country, see above post.. Guest DADDIO65
hey Jeff, have the backs of them Line-X'd they will NEVER rust on you and you wont see the pin holes either
CBoz
Hey Jeff, maybe the holes are not there for drainage, but to give you light to work on your brakes -- you know, turn on the headlights, light passes through the holes and *voila*! Just think of me as the guy who stands in your garage, drinking a beer and watching you work, while giving unhelpful advice That said, I actually have seen drain holes in tailight housings (other makes) before. Maybe the manufacturers didn't trust the seals... Edited April 2, 2010 by CBoz (see edit history)
Guest DADDIO65
I like your idea CBoz!!! I'm in on the beer and providing some useless information while watching someone work.... count me in with you guys:D
Guest Harry Connors
Guys to change the line of thought for a moment; what is "Line-X" Harry
Tom_Overfield
That stuff is a bed liner for pickup trucks Harry, it is sprayed on and tough as anything you ever saw. My two son's have it in the beds of their trucks and it beats the plastic drop in liners a ton.Tom
Tom_Overfield
As for Cecil's idea, I have been doing that for years, drink a beer, look at car,, drink a beer look at car some more, drink another beer, develop great idea. Drink another beer, forget idea.Tom
Guest DADDIO65
I sprayed my floorboards with it on my 39 sedan... stuff is bullet proof!! put carpet over it and no one will ever be the wiser.... worked really good and deadened some road noise.
