Jim Bollman
You guys are amazing pulling the details out of these fuzzy snap shots. Here is a unique COE Truck grill. Also a few interesting cars in this 1947 Phily shot. I see an Airstream by the truck.
keiser31
Just to inform, that is actually an Airflow in front of the truck. They also made an Airstream, but that's is not one.
F&J
Looks like a Chevy COE to me.Yes, the Airflow, and the Lincoln up the street..... but what is that sexy convertible coupe? ..that is really slick
Dave Mellor NJ
I think the convertible is 34-35 Chevy, wire wheels and the headlights hung from the side of the grille. The first car in line looks like a 37 Ford. The COE has the split grille like the 41-46 Chevy/GMC pickup, but they could have kept the styling a few more years in the COE
Jim Bollman
Thanks for all the insight (and pointing out my mistake on the Airflow). I thought Chevy for the truck when I first saw it but couldn't find any pictures of that vintage COE that was even close to looking like that so I gave up. Dave@Moon
The hood badge pegs this truck. It is a modified 1946/47 GMC COE, with the upper and lower grille removed/replaced. The Chevy badge is shaped differently with a slightly smaller center.

Guest 40 Buick 51c
Agree that it's a GMC, but it looks like it may have a bug guard over the lower grill.
