Guest
Great board!
I'm hoping someone would be kind enough to give me a little advice regarding an old car I'm considering selling....

It's a 1940 Dodge 4 door sedan which is in pretty rough shape -- hasn't run in about 25 years, all glass in the doors needs replacement, interior is pretty rough, but the body is fairly solid.

What I'm hoping you could advise me on is how I can determine what asking price to set for it. I guess this would be considered a project car (or worse?). A few years ago a fellow in a neighboring town expressed some interest in it, but at that time I still thought I wanted to keep it. Now that I want to sell it, I want to set a price which is fair to both myself and a prospective buyer.

Any expertise you could share would be appreciated!

Myron Williams
Dave,
I don't know where you live, but around here in Idaho if I wanted to ever see the poor thing restored, I'd give it to the person I felt most likely to finish the project. It can't be worth much...

Myron
