JZRIV
There are 3 expansion-type plugs behind the cam timing gear on the 425. The diameter of the holes measure around .605 but that doesn't equate to a normal fraction.Anyone know exactly what size these are? I'd like to know what size to ask for when checking around to purchase them. Thanks
Lapham3
Hi Jason-those are a 5/8" plug-an interference fit to seal tight when driven in-also only about 1/4" deep-you don't want to go too far in with these and then a couple of 'stakes' to insure they stay-good luck
JZRIV
Responding to my own post in the event someone does a search for these oil galley plugs in the future. After considerable effort, I found there is a standard expansion plug that works perfectly which is a 39/64" diameter. Dorman PN 555-067. Most amazing my local auto parts had them in stock.Checking by application in Dorman's book, it does not indicate this is the right part number but they fit perfectly.
