I have a friend that is redoing a 1948 jeep and he asked me if I knew how he could find out the available colors for his jeep in 1948. I know someone out there will have the answer. Could you point me in the right direction of you don't know ? Thanks

I assume that this '48 Jeep is a Jeepster. So this is from memory, I'm not sure that all colors relate to all years - mid yellow, red, burgandy, black (maybe), dark green (maybe).
Here are a couple of links that may prove useful also: http://www.jeepjournal.com/jeep101/ny/h101jptr.htm
http://48-50wojeepsterregistry.8m.com/
I've always liked Jeepsters but never took the plunge. cool.gif" border="0

the colors are red w/black, yellow w/black, two tone green (upper looks almost black), two tone blue (again upper looks almost black) and soild black. If you would like I should be able to come up with the color numbers. I'll have to hunt through some of the stuff my dad still has from when he had his '49 Jeepster.

The jeep that he has is not a jeepster but a CJ > I don't need the color numbers, just the colors. Would these be the same as the Jeepster. Thanks for the info so far.
