Guest 70 Electra
I thought it might be neat to add the factory accessory 4-note ("trumpet") horn to my 70 Electra. I've been keeping my eyes open for about a year now and haven't come across any. Is this a tough accessory to find, or am I not looking hard enough?
Also, it's not clear to me if the two extra horns used with this package are unique to 1970, or common across several years. Any advice/info?
Thanks!
------------------
Greg Cockerill
BCA #36864
1970 Electra convertible
palbuick
Hi Greg
The 4 note horns were available for your car, from 1967 to 1970 they mounted on the front frame(68)behind the radiator, 1969 and 70 were mounted in the same area. Check your shop manual, pictures and monting areas are illustrated. The only difference is the angle of the mounting bracket, on both horns.
I have several of the longtrumpet horn at this time but don't have any of the sea shell
type( larger than the standard horn).
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
palbuick
I forgot to mention that I have a set on my 66. What a difference, you can be heard a block away, and everyone will hear you.
No wimpy Beep, beep.
Jim Schilf
