In 1941, American opera star John Charles Thomas commissioned a new Packard station wagon. Standard Carriage Works of Los Angeles took a '41-160 2-door convertible and turned it into a 3-door wagon. (Two door on the passenger side, and only the standard door on the driver's side.) It was owned for many years by a member of PAC in Maryland, and is now in a private museum in New York.
