I have a 1965 Buick Riviera Gran sport with a AM-FM mono- radio with rear fader and Reverb. What is the correct ohm for the front speaker stock and for replacement. Thanks JDBarney

I have not looked recently, because I don't need them, but I have found original GM Delco "new old stock" 10 ohm speakers on eBay in the past for not much money. I put one in my '63. It was made with more modern cone technology than the original, so it actually sounds better than the original speaker. The speaker plant closed (burned down?) a while ago, but there were lots of speakers made.

I was able to find a 10 ohm replacement speaker for my riv at Auto Zone.

Many times the box will say that a speaker is good for 8 to 10 ohms replacement, but it is really just an 8 ohm speaker. That will slightly overdrive your original amplifier in your radio. In time it will croak your radio.
