Dynaflash8 Posted November 19, 2009 Share Posted November 19, 2009 Are you sure this isn't a 1972 Riviera? I don't think a 1971 Riviera had a sun roof, and I used to own a 1972 with a sun roof. Is there a rubber strip on the bumpers? Are there louvers in the trunk lid? If it has rubber strips on the bumpers, it's a 1972, and if it has louvers in the trunk lid it's a 1971. The grills will interchange and often have been interchanged. 1971 had a straing horizontal line grill, while 1972 had an egg-crate grill. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bob71GS Posted November 19, 2009 Share Posted November 19, 2009 Moonroofs were not available until 72. I looked at the pictures and it looks like a 71. No rubber strips on bumpers. If the car does have a moonroof, it was put in by some aftermarket shop. From reading the description given, in my opinion, it is only worth $1500 or less. You are looking at a parts car. If the car has one, it was put in by some aftermarket shop.The car was ordered with Max Trac from the factory but NO moonroof.
