Labrat Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 3rd. SPS K-9 1966-1967. Please remember also the many working dogs that saved an estimated 10,000 lives in Vietnam. All but about 300 were either euthanasied or abandoned to the South Vietnamese Army when we left the country. They deserved better. Even still today we're denied a monument anywhere in Arlington Cemetary as it is considered "disrespectful" according to the ones in charge. They are having a special about the Dogs of war used in the Army.A couple of years ago Colonel Oliver North did a special on War Stories about Dogs in the Military.
