Guest oakland
Could someone tell me how to remove the B U I C K letters from the trunk lid of a 63 Riviera? I would like to remove the letters from the trunk lid of my 63 and have them re-chromed. Thanks
Guest kaycee
If I remember correctly, the letters on the '63 just pressed into clips on the deck lid. My Buick parts book shows individual letters in a package which probably meant the letter came with the clip when you ordered them. When I painted my '63 I just CAREFULLY pried the letters out of the clips with very thin screwdrivers, but I was painting the car so I did'nt have to worry about nicking the paint. There should only be a couple of pins on each letter that press into the deck lid clips similar to the way the quarter panel 'scoops' press into the quarter panels. kaycee
Guest Buick Bonery
Yes, you pry them out, but be careful with the clips. They are tiny, they get dropped and they break.
