Guest jumpinjivinjoe
I have a 1936 dodge coupe. I recently bought a new plastic gas tank for it. Where can I get a new fuel tank level sensor? Can it work with my current stock gauges, or do I need to change out the gauges also? Thanks
Guest 1930
I just went thru this and you can get the sending unit from Napa with matched gauge.
Guest jumpinjivinjoe
OK so they essentially come in a kit. Do they come in 6v?
Guest 1930
I dont think you can get 6 vt any more, everytime I have asked for anything in 6 vt they look at me stupid. Since you have already purchased tank that I am sure was made for a 12 volt gauge of some sort you are prob. going to have to go about fabricating something to work yourself, maybe finding a known good sending unit and gauge and adapting it to fit your tank. I guess I would pick up the phone and call napa or go online and ask around and see what other suggestions you run across

Guest jumpinjivinjoe
A searched around on JCWhitney and I found an "Adjustable Fuel Level float" that searms like it would work. ADJUSTABLE FUEL LEVEL FLOAT - JCWhitneyIt relays the level via Ohms resistance thus I believe that it would work with any voltage system.
