'46 Chevy 216 valve train assembly

I'm installing the valve train on a '46 Chevy 216 and I didn't pay close attention when I took it apart. I've got the rockers on 1-6-5-2 ... from front to back. I figure the shaft oil holes should go on the bottom. Finally, I'd be inclined to put the wider parts of the pedestals toward the left (on the valve stem side). Is that correct?

(I do have the 42-47 shop manual.)

And if you want to hear something funny -- Did you know that the manifolds can be installed upside down? It's not easy, but it is possible!

Thanks.
