Help with ID

Recommended Posts

I have just purchased a 1930 733 Club Sedan that appears to have been made from a touring sedan with rear jump seats instead of a bench seat. The ID tag says 280154, does this number help in getting the real ID of the car? Delivery date is 3/22/30.

The work performed on the car is not too bad and was performed a long time ago by the looks of it. I will probably keep it as a club sedan despite what the numbers say. The car needs a total restoration.

Packard did not produce anything called a Touring Sedan on the 733 chassis. They made a Sedan, a Club Sedan and a Sedan Limo but nothing identified as a Touring Sedan. Assuming the 280154 is the engine # it does fall within the 733 sequence. Nothing else that # can tell you.
