Aussie Dodge
Hi guys, can anybody help me identify the correct exhaust valve to use in my 1925 Dodge bros engine. From an early mechanics instruction manual dated 1914-1927 it suggests the exhaust valve is made of "Silcrome steel". I have purchased several valves and all have different markings. Eg:- V36, S36, UFCR36, DECD183, DC36, DCFOR V36 & DC36. All look and measure the same, is there a way to identify which of these may be exhaust valves?Regards - Ted

Guest Mark1934*
I'm rebuilding a 1919 DB engine. I have new valves but need new lifter "bolts" (the part that comes into contact with the end of the valve stem that is adjusted). Where can I purchase them? Also, what is the clearance to adjust them cold?
Guest 1930
Adjustment should be in your book of information, do you have one? Prob. only lists adjustment hot
Guest Backyardmechanic
As A Ruel add .006 to the hot settig this should get the engine running then check after warm up.Vern
