t- max Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 While demolishing the family farm homestead 100+ year old house, I found a canvas banner advertising a Maxwell with 2 models available: a coupe and a sedan -- $550 and $595.Any ideas what year it may be?Any insight into it's collectability or value?We just thought it was amazing!! hddennis Posted June 20, 2009 Share Posted June 20, 2009 T-Max, try as I might I haven't been able to match your prices. The first mention of a coupe I find is 1918 but the prices are much higher. I suspect your banner is from the 1922-25 period when Walter P. Chrysler was trying to save the company's bad image by modifying the car and drastic price cuts to move out old inventory.
