Carb Question

Recommended Posts

Hi All:

Attached is a photo of a #25 Stewart carb from a Dodge

Bros. Senior Six. Shown in the very cemter of the photo

ia a bar that is tapered in both directions and attached

in the center by a screw. Disregard the fitting wired

to it.

What is the function of this bar. What is it's purpose.

Brian

Thanks much for the reply 1930. Much appreciated.

How was it used. Was it

connected to the dash in any way.

I believe that is actually the lever to the accelerator pump. The "choke" is actually the enrichner below that with the spring attached.

I am sure that I was wrong then, sorry for my confusion

I have a Stewart#25 on my 23 touring. It doesn't have that lever at all.

The choke is the arm on the bottom with spring.

The throttle is on top.

Does that lever do anything?

I assumed that the pipe to the left on the picture was an intake pipe as I assumed that the bowl to the right was fuel bowl.

Hi All:

1930 is correct intake pipe is to the left and the fuel

bowl is to the right.

Can't do a full picture, carb has been installed on the

dodge. Sorry.

Thanks for all your input to date. Much appreciated.
