peecher Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 You're right the vacuum should be higher. If the compression is good look for a vacuum leak or even heat riser burn-thru in the manifold. Heat riser burn thru was sometimes a problem on the early manifolds. A compression check will tell you if you have any "dead" cylinders. good luck.
