I recently purchased this car which is my first antique car I'm having trouble figuring out what tires i need for this car. The car is sitting on the wood wheels right now and i cant find any relevant information on how to size this.

the outside diameter of these wheels is roughly

25 and 1/4 inches as i remember

thanks

The tires are mounted onto split rims. The rims are held onto the wheel with a nut and a mounting lug (several)which fits between the wheel rim and the tire rim. The wheels are normally measured in whole inches and the tires are sized using the diameter less 2 times their cross measurement. For example a 25" rim would commonly have a 34 X 4.5" tire and 34 less 9 equals the 25". I have a 16 Reo 6 cylinder and it has 25" rims with the 34X4.5 tires and uses Stanweld rims. I do not know if Reo used rims from other manufacturers.
