1939 Special 41 engine identification

It's a bit hard to tell by the pic but it seems that the access hole for the brake master cylinder is also not in the right place on that Fisher body. The Holden body hole is out by about 3-4 inches. Pain in the arse to fill !!!

That "Kiwi Gizmo" must be some sort of gear change assist thingy. The cables seem to go to the gear selector. Curious !!

(Bloody Kiwis.... have to tinker with everything :):D:))

looks like I'll go with black for the transmission :confused: anybody know how exactly the cars were built? I wonder if the engine/transmission were put in together, or of the transmission was already in when the engine was put in? That may tell us something????
