Whats this HEINZE SPRINGFIELD switch from? How old is it??

Info I have shows this to be used as original equipment on only one make and year of vehicle, 1917 Regal 4-32, J. Other sources for autos do not list the 4-32 so it may have been the commercial ( truck) model, J being their 4 cylinder car. Heinze ( along with 3 or 4 other companies) was making starter and generator sets as aftermarket add-ons for Model T Fords ( which until 1919 did not offer starters/generators). This switch probably was also used in that application.
