3Jakes,

Nah, I don't think Peter needs to delete anything, the concurrent posts tell the story, and there may be some good lessons learned in examining them.

Smartin,

Yes, she is single, and legal, yet still a minor and not allowed to drink.

LET'S GET BACK TO THE TASK AT HAND, AND POST SOME MORE PHOTOS OF THE

Or, girls IN Buicks!

Here's my bride, Panikmekanik, in her '91 Reatta coupe, 1 of 1214 made, only 44 in this color combo.

Since the previous Girls on Buicks thread had gotten so big that it required some time to load, especially on dialup, HERE IS AN ALL NEW GIRLS ON BUICKS 2.

The idea for this thread came from the many commercials and ads I have seen over the years displaying beautiful Buicks and beautiful ladies together. And as I pointed out in the first post, for some reason, girls just like to climb on Buicks and have their picture made.

I'd like to thank everyone for displaying your as always gentlemanly (and ladylike) behavior through out the prevoius thread. Due to the obvious nature of the subject matter I realize there may at times be a tendency to make an "off color or too sexually oriented" comment. If I feel that a comment has been made that is offensive or disrespectful I will personally bring it to the attention of a moderator for their determination of whether it's appropriate.

In case there was something special you liked in the first thread you can still jump back to see it at GIRLS ON BUICKS

That being said, let's see some girls on Buicks...

I wanted to share a picture that a lady sent me some time back. She had found the BCA Forum while surfing the web and emailed me this picture. It is of her and her 54 just before the Prom. Her father had restored it for her and she still to this day has it, although it is in a bit of disrepair. I have since lost her email and in case she is reading this would like to know if she ever got around to restoring it.

Lamar,

Best thread ever.

Once spring comes and I break the car out I hope to have some input.

It seems I can't get anybody to go out to the garage for photos.

I asked some lady over at the Mobil Mart if she'd pose on my car for me, the woman looked at me like I had two heads!

I thought five bucks was a generous offer.

I'll drive around and find somebody.

So what you are saying is the pix is contemporary not an oldie. Once I noticed what appears to be a club tag on the plate I suspected as much. I don't care I'm still framing it. BTW I am looking for a 38 project car. Any leads?.......Bob.

Oh fud, so it was you that was looking for a 37-38 Buick. I thought it was Pete Phillips and have been sending him some info on some. I guess he wondered what the hey.

That picture was from a web site across the big pond somewhere. I emailed them to let them know I had used it and never heard back. I can't find the site now though. It is a sight though isn't it.

The tag decal you are speaking of is actually an insurance tag I think. We use to have one on our 48 Buick when I was growing up til I took it for my bicycle. State Farm Mutual Auto Ins was the company.

I'll keep my eyes open for you a 37-38. I especially like the little business and sport coupes of the 30's. Especially the 34's.

From the shot I can't be absolutely certain, the fenders sure do make it look like a Javelin...my first car was a '74 Javelin AMX...401, T-10 4-spd...fun car...but then I saw the Wildcat and the rest is history.

My '62 didn't have any fender emblems on it identifying it as a Special one of the first times I had it out...a couple of times I saw people walking all around the car trying to determine what it was...Buick of course, but not the model...and these weren't youth in high school either.

actually to be quite honest i have already thought about this aspect of owning such a sharp car many times before, in fact since very soon after i got it home. would you expect anything less from a car guy my age? the same thing is going through the heads of the import rice-rocket drivers, except its uh, not really going to work out for them. grin.gif

for me though,i think it will be quite the contrary. smirk.gif

Saturday night I thought I had a "model" to pose on my Buick.

It fell through though.

Just as I was getting ready to load her into my truck for the ride to my garage she told me she was really a guy and asked me if I'd seen "Bareback Mountain."

I said "What? Huh?" But she had passed out again.

Because the thread is titled "Girls on Buicks 2" and the light in my truckbed is much brighter than in the bar, I really saw what I had, and I didn't think you guys would want to see what I saw so I cut him/her loose.

How was I to know?

The perfume was intoxicating, and I figured a place called the "PussyCat Lounge For Girls" was for real girls.

Next time I'm going to ask about "equipment" up front, before I buy somebody a bunch of Cabana Boy Rum Sunsets (2 oz Cabana Boy rum, 4 oz lemon-lime soda.)

I'll get a picture yet.

I'm feeling semi-confident now. Previous photo was of daughter Abigail inback of the 68 Riviera project (which looks better from that abgle) teaching her baby "Sissy" how to buckle up.

This photo is her in the 49 Roadmaster.

By the way, she also helps with the cars. In disassembly we will choose a project such as the removal of the Riviera door (doing a full frame off) and she stands ready with the coffee can. I remove the fastener and hand it to her and she places into the container or if it drops, because she is still small and flexible (unlike Daddy) she declares "I'll get it" and reaches down and retrieves the fastener. Her favorite car, alas, is my 63 Pontiac Bonneville because it has a manual seat and she can scoot up to the steering wheel and 'drive' it. Also, the Riviera - which has a power bucket seat - has a tilt wheel which is of course spring loaded to pop up so that kind of scares her. But, even at age 4 1/2 her hands get dirty helping dad. Bodes well for the future. She can even use a ratchet wrench.

Third from the left: " I'm the lightest so it will be easier to push if I drive"

Last on the right: " You're the youngest so you should have the most energy. besides, You drove last time the Buick wouldn't start. It's my turn!"

2nd from the left: " Girls, quit your bitchin. It's my car so you're both pushing, and thats final!"

Granny on the Left, thinking to herself: " I can't believe I ate the whole thing! (( burp))...

Third from the right, Thats disgusting Granny!!!!

Clearly, this family is on summer vacation, brought some of their kids friends along and are anxious to get to their destination.

Far right - "So....whose idea was it to stop and let Dad talk to the guy about that old Buick parked behind the barn?"

Middle two - "At least your Dad stops"

Far left - "He did it again...."

Excellent post Lamar!

Good ones guys, and Jake, Abigail looks like a sweety pie.

Here's all I can come up with.

From the youngest on far right..."Why does PaPaw's Buick always manage to break down in front of a farmers house". Older sister, second from right " I don't know but have you noticed, the farmer always has 3 beautiful daughters". 3rd from right" I just hope we don't end up spending the night out here again while THEY go to town for parts" Far left "he did it again"!!
