GIRLS ON BUICKS

Another view of a 1940 Buick with the C body and curvateous wheel shields.  The women is blocking a lot of the view to this car and the photographer seemed to edit out most of the car, too.  Still a great photo.

Haha -- I doubt that the photographer was thinking about the car.  Great photo -- curvaceous, indeed!

Over exaggeration of the car description is the give away.

There's so much great stuff going on in that photo!  I wonder if the members of the Pilot Club whistled when they drove past Holton & Sons Mortuary?  Dude driving the beautiful Roadmaster convertible is outstanding, but Tootsie gets first prize for sure!  (Extra bonus -- isn't that a '41 Coupe parked on the curb behind Tootsie?)

I totally forgot to even look at the background Neil. Believe you are in the right age bracket for the 41 but it could be any of the GM sisters.

With all due respect to the direction this photo has taken

the sign on the rear of the Buick shows a ships wheel

a quick Google brought up https://www.pilotinternational.org/

an organization started by women using a pilots wheel from a riverboat as their logo

an oprganization charted in 1921 by local business women, an interesting read on their website

so then i googled Tootsie Dewar and a newspaper clipping from Long Beach Ca June 1950

came up and it turns out there were 4 of them i guess sisters it does mention 3 blondes

i have to admit it is amazing what is on the internet

oh and geat pic of a nice Buick and Blonde

Thanks for the gentle kick Marty. It was obvious the turn the picture took was in no way due any respect...😀
