A '56 Century convertible will always get my attention -

especially in red and white-

but how did my old flame go back in time to get into this pic?

sure got my attention !!

These are a few images from a photoshoot where I used my car as a prop. The teaser image above was cropped because the model blinked, but I really liked the composition.

Looks Special to me,

but they only get space in my garage when the top goes down,

and can anyone calculate rear-end ratios?

Does a "QUICK-CHANGE REAR" work well with Torque Tube Drive Shaft?

Almost didn't notice the hood ornament?

I just picked up this MAY66-dated color slide. Shown is a VERY worn out 1958 Buick Century convertible in an orchard(?) with a cute young lady wearing those crazy 'cat's eye' sunglasses that were so popular in the 1950's and 60's.

I remember those glasses well! I had an aunt who always wore them, these were prescription eye glasses, not sunglasses. I never remember her having any other glasses.

We ere invited to a 50's garden party last year, and I picked up a pair for my wife to wear.

Cat's eye glasses were worn by 'anyone with any sense of style' back in the 50s and 60s.  All I need to do is look back through my old yearbooks to see many examples.

Besides looking at posts on this forum, I also look at posts on the CABE (Classic and Antique Bicycle Exchange) and everyone once in a while look at the forum for "Babes and Bicycles - over 18 to view, no nudity."

I'm not going to post any pictures from it but I will post the link so you can check it out yourself, if you like.  Some of you older guys might want to take a double dose of your Zestril before continuing.  The link i posted starts at page 99. Previous to that, there may be a couple of pictures and a lot of discussion.  You can go back if you want, but there's another 173 pages ahead of you.  I you like the fine lines of a Buick and the girls around them, you'll probably like this as well.  Enjoy!

If you guys ever make it to car shows featuring Rat Rods, I'm sure that you've seen the Rock-a-billy models with their 40's hair styles and clothing, tattoos, body piercings, and cats eye sunglasses.  If not, you need to go to one.

Wow, I didn't realize that! Is that her '54, does anyone know?

Very cool.

The ‘54 belonged to rock  star photographer Bob Gruen. Not sure of the circumstances of it being used with this  Blondie photo shoot but glad it did. The lady is second only to Marilyn Monroe and the Buick is second to none in my expert opinion on the subject of beauty  😁

Anyone know who this Columbia Pictures star is?  She's doing a good job of tying her Buick up to the hitching post.

Good guess, but after a little Internet research, I'm pretty certain it's Evelyn Keyes.  Check this out -- same outfit.  She was in a Columbia western, The Desperadoes, in 1943.
