nash metropolitan parts identification

can anyone tell me how to identify metropolitan three speed transmission. i have what are supposed to be metro parts and want to confirm thats what they are. the trans i d would help. is there a metro trans site ?. thanks for any ideas. skip.

The first (1954) generation Metropolitan had a BMC Series-A engine. That transmission in a Met can be identified by a number marked on the casing beginning with "NK1".

That engine was quickly replaced with a BMC Series-B engine, as early as 1955 I believe. I'm not sure how to identify this (much more common) tranny.
