Waxing with pinstripes

I have a question for those that still have the original pin stripes. How do you wax your car? It seems that it would be very difficult to not try to hit the stripes with the cloth / wheel and destroy them, do you just take your time and not hit them?

Hello CL Reatta,

If you are talking about waxing or buffing with a wheel, you could apply masking tape and the top edge running the tape down past the pin strippe and buff above the line. Then once you are done above, remove the tape. Reapply new tape running the tape above past the stripe and buff below the line. Takes a little more time, but no elimination of factory painted stipes. Hope this helps.

Looking for a burgundy or black ragtop! Anyone have one for sale?
