mikzjr@aol.com
I think it is a 1929 chrys model 70. The wheel base is 112",this is where it get strange the motor is a P which would make it a model 65 motor also no fuel pump on the motor it has a vaccum tank, next the wheels they are 7 lug outside the cap 70 spoke two have 19" tires and two are 18"tires,the headlights are 1930. hwellens
29 Model 70 had a fuel pump, down draft carburator, 18 inch wire wheels with the lugs under the hub cap. The lights look like Model 77 (70 were painted). Looks like it might be a 1929 model 65. Is there a serial number on the dash or a motor number that starts with a letter. This my help. mikzjr@aol.com
There is no dash serial number the motor number is P213879 and it is 112" wheel base.
keiser31
Your engine looks like a 1929 series 65 from my book's information. The engine numbers went from P175001 ending in P241336. The serial number of the car would be from LS400P and DW000W and ending in LD999D and DC507D.
keiser31
The car itself looks more like a 1929 "75" given the headlamp bar configuration and the grille and shell assembly.
keiser31
1929 is model "75". 1930 is model "70".
mikzjr@aol.com
The wheel base doesn't match a model 75 and there is no golf club door.
keiser31
1930 series "70"....116.5" wheelbase....18" tires. That is the only wheelbase anywhere near 116".
Guest 1929model75
I think the car is a bunch of parts thrown together i.e. 65 engine 75 headlight bar and shell also notice a sidemount bracket on the cowl plain front fenders and the sidemount hardware on a 75 looked noting like that. Just my 2 cents. Chris
keiser31
1929model75....Good eyeball on the sidemount bracket and plain fender. I will have to agree on the headlamp bar. There is an extra hole closer to the top hole which is where a model "65" bottom of bar mounting hole would be.
