Paul K.
Are the cylinder head bolt torque specifications the same for the cast iron as the aluminum heads? I only have specs for the aluminum. Thanks,
1941
The "Repair Manual for H-series Lincoln V12 Engines" says: Cylinder head nuts (cast iron heads) 40 to 50 ft-lbs. Cylinder head nuts (Aluminum heads) 35 to 40 ft-lbs.
CBoz
Also, I'd be sure to go back and recheck the torque levels after letting things sit over night. I had to go back and retighten a couple times before things settled down on my aluminum heads With just 40 ft-lbs of torque, you don't have much room for looseness.
