29 Plymouth Coupe

Recommended Posts

I attained a 1929 Plymouth coupe. The car is complete and very solid(no rust or bondo). Can anyone tell me how rare the car is(production numbers) or an approximate value? The car doesn't run but all the parts are there.

Generally Model Us are considered 1929 model year cars even though production ran into 1930. Chrysler only really got into the groove of model year introductions until 1934. Generally new models were introduced when the market demanded and the cars were ready.
There were about 109,000 Model U Plymouths built. As best I can tell, there is no break down of production by body style available for the Model U Plymouths. Pretty much all I know about 1929 Plymouths can be put on to two web pages smile.gif" border="0
http://www.ply33.com/Models/U/index.html and http://www.ply33.com/Models/U/specs.html
You will also want to visit the Plymouth Owner's Club web site and chat forum. Joining the AACA and a marque specific club is generally a good idea. It will help you on your search for help and parts.
By the way, I don't have any pictures of a U coupe, if you would like yours on my web site, please send me a copy. Thanks.
[ 09-06-2001: Message edited by: Tod Fitch ]
