recarpeting question

Started to prepare to recarpet my '89 tan interior today. Stockinteriors.com states it should take about 3 hours ( I estimate 3 days) Anyway, seats removed easy enough. Now I need to get the rear shelf out. I removed the line of bolts right behind the seats. The shelf still seems to be held in the rear. Is it necessary to remove all of the plastic trim in the rear to get to it or is an attachment accessed via the trunk. Any other tips on recarpeting from those experienced would be appreciated. Thanks, Todd

If you are recarpeting the back [and it sounds like you are], be sure to have a couple of small bags of sand to put in the storage bins to hold the carpet in place, once you have glued them. I also did a post back in mid June of '07 on my install procedure I believe.

I checked and my posts started 9/6/07.
