1969 GS Stage 1 For Sale!

Recommended Posts

Car is a documented 69 Stage 1 with protecto plate and dealer invoice. All numbers matching including the 400 Stage 1 engine, Turbo 400 "BB" transmission, 3.64 posi rear, carb and distributor.

In 1969, all Stage 1's were built in Flint Michigan. 3,712 GS 400 coupes were built in Flint in 1969, and 1,256 of those were equipped with the Stage 1 package, and 832 of those Stage 1's had automatic transmissions. Factory colors are Twilight Blue with a white painted top and black bench seat interior. Only 103 of 3,712 (less than 3%) Coupes built in Flint in 1969 had two tone paint. Production numbers are not available for the number of Stage 1 Automatic Coupe cars built with two tone paint, but extrapolating the numbers puts the estimate at less than 25. I know of only one other 69 Stage 1 with this factory color combination.

GS400 Stage 1 Factory Performance Info: 400 V8 345 bhp @ 5,800 rpm, 440 lb-ft @ 3,200 rpm. 0-60 in 5.8 sec, 1/4 mile in 14.4 sec @ 97 mph.

This car received a frame off restoration in the 90's, and was freshened up again in 2006/07.

Most interior components were refinished or replaced. Most exterior pieces were rechromed, replated or polished.

The major mechanicals were all rebuilt and probably have less than 10,000 miles on them.

The car has been fully detailed and is show ready.

Will consider an interesting trade up or down for a show quality 67-69 Camaro RS convertible, 63-65 Riviera, 61 LeSabre or Invicta.

Will also sell the car outright.

This car is one of the nicest GS's in the Pacific NW, and the nicest one on Craigslist that I have seen.
