When my 90 runs at idle itl clicks. Kindof like a fan hitting some thing else. Think to have pinpointed at what the service manual call the Generator. when the car goes above 1000 rpm it stops any ideas???

Does it click when cold ? If so you can pull the serpentine belt and idle from cold for a few seconds (don't let get hot). Any accessory related noise is eliminated, if you still hear clicks then is engine/transmission related (or might just be the cassette).<P>If still clicks then we need to get into how fast (valvetrain is half the speed of crank) ?

A typical place for a click at low engine speed is the harmonic balancer on the front of the crankshaft. The rubber on the face should be firm and smooth. If it is cracked or pieces missing is needs to be replaced.

Does not rattle when the belt is on think we have repinpointed to the air conditioning compresser. it seems to get worse when the air is on. Could the clutch be loose?
