My 1990 has the A/C light on the dashboard lit up all the time. The A/C does not produce cool air anymore either. No noises from the compressor however. Low freon or blown fuse of some sort or something else?

I had the same problem. Disconnect the battery and let the car sit for about 5 minutes and then reconnect the battery. I did it and it cleared up the problem. I would also check the relay for the a/c. It is a $8 part.

Same problem last Dec. on my '90. The battery finally died. Replaced the battery and not a problem since. I'd try the suggested disconnect first, if that doesn't do it, have a tech. check the charging system.

Your leak could be anywheres. After spending much money (especially with the cost of freon being so high) the cause of low freon, dash lite gleaming, etc. The culprit was a $3.00 shrader valve up on the left side firewall. Good luck! grin.gif" border="0
