Guest imported_barra
My 1988 red Reatta passenger door made contact with the front fender when being opened today. The door did not make contact after the car sat outside out of direct sunlight. After sitting for a couple of hours in direct sunlight/heat the door made contact again with the fender. The window motor was replaced in April and I haven't had a passenger since the repair. Was the door mislaligned during the motor replacement or does heat affect the fit of the door to the fender. The paint has been affected by the contact. How can prevent rust from forming without defacing the car any further? I'm not a mechanic- I just want to take care of the car.Thank you for your advice and suggestions.

Barney Eaton
parts do expand. The front fenders, being plastic expand more than the steel doors. How much clearance do you have a -20? In Texas, our temp only varies about 73F (32F to 105F) you guys actually have a greater range.
