Guest maynard
I find many items on e-bay that are listed are not as listed. For instance I bought a speed o meter listed as a Dodge, It is used only on G M cars. A water pump listed as a 29 Victory, when I recieved it checking it has a body assembly #210303. If anyone knows whatthis fits let me know the mke & model.
TexRiv_63
"Let the buyer beware" is always in force when you are buying someting sight unseen. On Ebay, sometimes it is the seller trying to pull a fast one but more often they are just misinformed. If you have doubts about an item, ask questions or ask for more photos. If the seller does not respond, walk away and look elsewhere. The good thing about Ebay is that there will probably be another of whatever you are looking for coming along shortly. Guest
I have purchased over 200 items on ebay and have not had a single misrepresentation. Often I have notified sellers of mistakes in their listings (ie wrong year or make) and they have all b thanked me for the information. More than a few times I have exchanged several emails before bidding or deciding not to bid. My son bought a Porsche 944 on ebay and was 100 % satisfied. Of course he had hired a local appraiser to look at the vehicle before bidding.
old gto
I have purchased over 200 items on ebay and have not had a single misrepresentation. I only had ONE in over 800 transactions....a $20 part I bid on was pure junk when it arrived. I tried to contact the seller, but he`d already been kicked off ebay by then.
Dan Marx
I just got taken by an ebay seller. It was for a Delco Remy 526B coil, new in the box!!!! sold for $97.00. The seller was kellysdream2007. The seller failed to settle the next 6 auctions. I was one of them. That was my first in over 350 transactions and 10 years on ebay. I used a postal money order to pay for the coil. Had I used paypal, I could have filed a claim for a refund. Lessons learned. Dan
greenie
Check with the post office. In some cases, they will pursue people who use fraud to obtain postal money orders.
Reatta Man
Sorry to hear that. I would think that ebay is no worse than (and possibly better than)a flea market or swap meet. Hope your luck improves with future purchases.Joe
