Guest BJM
Guys,For those uninitiated, Vanderbrink auctions are a good time, and scrap price is I believe the oprning bid of $350. I went to a Vanderbrink auction in northern Minnesota in late September 2007. Not many Olds but there were over 200 cars and trucks and the pace is quick. These are dry western cars and ought to be worth the trip as projects. The rodders will be there for sure. People will be there the day or two before to check them out and chat, this is a nice social event. Then the trucks and trailers will roll in. bring comfortable shows/boots because you will be standing and moving small distances a lot. of course, hot cars will draw more bids but overall with gas at $3.50 to $4.00 a gallon, a person might sneak in and get a good deal.
