Old Buick Emblem ?

Found Buick emblem buried approx. 4" near old home site. The emblem is approx. 2" x 2 1/2" and made of a heavy and thick metal. There is a hole drilled at the top and remanats of silver solder on the back. That indicated it was attached to a vehicle. The word BUICK is written accross the plaque from bottiom left hand corner to the top right hand corner. Can anyone assist in indentifying year and type of buick it was attached. I do have photos I could send per your request.

I would appreciate any help I could get.

You sound like you're describing a typical Buick badge from the 1910s-1930s era (see below). You'll need to post a photo of it here to get a good ID on it. See this thread for how to do it.

Your picture showed up fine. This is a common emblem but all the enamel is missing and the enamel condition usually determines value. Probably not worth much.
