1957hk7
I'm new here, but I've been a member of the SDC for a long time. While driving my light six yesterday, the rear axle carrier assembly had a catastrophic disintegration. The ring & pinion are badly chewed up and the spider gears are just crushed metal bits in the bottom of the housing. Anybody have any leads on a rear axle assembly for a 24 light six? Guest stude8
I looked in my parts catalog but unfortunately it only covers Special, Big and President 6's from 1925-27 and later Commander models.(EP, EQ, ES, EW, GB, GH)I did see that they had four gear ratios in the series, but they all used the same differential case. Maybe you can use gears from models other than 24 Light Six alone. The ratios were 3.69; 4.08; 4.90; 4.36. Figure what ratio yours was and find an earlier part catalog to determine how many models share the same gears.Stude8
1926Roadster
I have a 1926 Standard Six rear end. I don't know if it will fit a 1924 Light Six. If it will fit you are welcome to it.Ken GASCH6466 Westlake AveDallas, TX 75214214-821-9013
