Beaver Brand Auto Robe

I am trying to find information on an auto lap robe that my father has given me and I'm not having much luck with the internet. It is very, very heavy and I believe quite old. It is multi-tone brown/gold on one side, black on the other with a brown felt edge. The label reads "The Beaver Brand Auto Robe made in England exclusively for Woodbridge &Co. Ltd. Toronto Candada. Wind, Water, Moth proof" My father is almost 80-years-old and says he remembers his parents having this when he was a child. I'm trying to find anything I can about this (age, value, etc).
